How We Met....

Our story..oh my....almost never began!! Kirk and I met in the hallway/office doorway of the doctor I work for now, then I was a student at at the Center for Radiation. Kirk then was working for Bard and stopped in to say hi to his friend Dr. Tropper... needless to say I was very intrigued by his uncanny great looks! Dr. Tropper introduced me to him and embarressed alittle I left his office and went back to the dosimetry office where my good friend Terri was. I proceeded in asking her about the "guy in the hallway" which of course was Kirk, thankfully enought she knew Kirk well from being in surgery with him. She called Dr. Tropper and told him to bring him to dosimetry so we could talk, knowing he was single and had just moved her (which was good for me)!! I didn't know this until later, but Dr. Tropper practically had to beg and drag him to come talk to me! Anyway we talked for a while and exchanged numbers to meet later that week! Our first outing was rollerblading...which went great other than the fact that he was racing me (downhill, and so he could win, he pushed me down on the cement and I recieved a huge bloody roadrash/stawberry on my upper thigh the size of a dinner plate!!! Thats when I knew it was love!!! OK OK he didn't push me down, but I fell down to miss him going down a hill! I sacrificed my body so he would not get hurt! A year and two months later he asked me to marry him!!!

The Proposal Story

Where do I start?? January 2007 Kirk and I started looking for a new house! How exciting right? No, not in Scottsdale Arizona, the market here is terrible! Kirk and I literally looked at hundreds of houses every weekend!! Finally the first weekend of May we finally found a house! It was perfect! The perfect size, the perfect bathroom, the perfect pool, you get the picture! So we put an offer on it, the owner counters, we counter, and then we don't hear from the owner for a while...what seems like an eternity. So the night of May 15th Kirk and I go to our favorite bar, Zipps, because we both need to relax! That day was terrible for me at work, crisis after crisis, and then we still hadn't heard back on the house! So we are sitting at Zipps when Kirk gets a call from our realtor...Dr. Troppers Mom...I can only hear his side of the conversation, but is was not good...it started with "Well I guess they didn't like that offer...followed by..."um ok..ya I will tell her" and he hangs up. I am like whats going on, right? He says Leslie (the realtor) says "Hi" and I was like ok and....then he follows by saying....and they took the offer! Immediatly I was so excited! Not as excited as Kirk seeings how its was his 100th house to buy, but my first!! So we have another round of drinks to celebrate and we are now talking about the house and its location. Kirk is sounding a little worried at this point because he didn't know if the area was on the up and rising side of Phoenix and because the house was barely out of the Arcadia school district, which is a big deal around here!! At this point all he is focusing on is that we are now moving 5 miles from Zipps and that we are not in the good school dostrict. So we finish our drinks and head home, all of one mile...but for the whole mile all Kirk is talking about is the school distric we won't be in! So we get home and I am getting ready for bed and Kirk sits on the bed and is just talking about the house...right now I am on cloud nine..thinking how awsome that we are buying a house together! So as Kirk is sitting on the bed he looks at me and says there is only one thing that would make this perfect...and I am thinking ya ya the school district...and he says if you would marry me, and he got down on his knee and asked me! In shock I said of course yes!!!! It couldn't have been more suprising!!
